We are called to go and share the good news of Christ and we do this through missions. Each month there is a different missional emphasis spearheaded by our Women In Action! missions group. By doing local hands-on missions and financially supporting missions around the world FBCofVB carries out in part her call to missions!

Keeping mind, heart, soul and body nurtured is vital to living faith. Through Sunday School, small group ministry, traditional Bible study and prayer time, pastoral ministry and counseling, an active deacon ministry, and personal relationships within the congregation, congregants are nurtured, sustained and inspired for the living of their shared faith.

FBCofVB has a modified, traditional worship style. It's a combination of old Baptist hymns mixed with some choruses from the Pentecostal tradition. While we make good use of the screens and projectors in our sanctuary, we also like having a hymnal in our hands as we sing. Pastor Steve's preaching style is confessional and narrative while being conversational in form. The seniors of the congregation regularly say one of their favorite parts of worship is the children sermon. Come as you are, for we are all sinners in need of grace and care!
